The historic center of Rivalta is worth a visit: the Tower, the castle and even the old covered market area are very beautiful.

A beautiful bike path connects Villaggio Aurora to the Rivoli hospital area. Surrounded by fields, it's pleasant and quiet.

I only tackled the Avigliana side, finding it a beautiful climb, easy in the first section, slightly more challenging in the section after the descent (but never prohibitive). Highly recommended for autumn, when you can enjoy the splendid colors of the forest that frames the climb. A detour to the Sacra di San Michele, a charming abbey rich in history, is highly recommended.

Borgata Molino is the first hamlet of Valgioie you encounter when climbing from Giaveno toward the Braida Pass. Inside, the beautiful church of the Beata Vergine delle Grazie, in classic neoclassical style with Baroque echoes of the Turin mountains. Next to the church, but separate from it (the road to Mortera runs through the middle), is a beautiful bell tower with Gothic elements, divided into two levels (an upper level in exposed brick, a lower level plastered), and a niche containing a beautiful fresco on the lower level. As mentioned, the road to/from Mortera passes right through the middle, while coming up from the provincial road requires a small detour to get there—but it's worth it. Church in the hamlet of Valgioie. It's located a short distance from the road to Braida Hill, on the path leading to the cemetery. A beautiful structure with a late-Baroque plastered façade and an exposed stone bell tower. It's also clearly visible from the road to Braida Hill, but it's worth the detour. In front of the church is a building with a portico, beneath which there's a café, perfect for a break.

Beautiful view of the Avigliana lakes - and of Giaveno and its valley.

The passage through the hamlet of Combravino is interesting: first a beautiful view of the lakes and the Giaveno basin, then a comfortable rest area with tables and a fountain with drinking water - a nice place to stop on the way up.
