趣のある家々、美しく修復されたばかりの教会、背景に山々を望む素敵な遊び場、そして飲用水の噴水がある、心地よい小さな集落です。l'Aquilaに登って怪我をする前、あるいは降りてきた時のご褒美として、立ち寄って楽しむ価値があります。

道の終点に着くと、鷲の記念碑が、やり遂げたことを確認させてくれます。それだけでも称賛に値します。そして、それとは別に、見た目も素晴らしいです。

同じ名前の集落にある美しい小さな教会。ファサードは斜面に少し犠牲になっていますが、遠くからでもそびえ立つ素晴らしい鐘楼があります。少し離れた道沿いにある廃墟の家も興味深いです。そこにはまだ「Ventennio」時代のプロパガンダの痕跡が残っています。登っていくにつれて、最悪の事態はまだこれからなので、休憩して、Aquilaへの登りに備える良い機会です。

The climb to Verna is a bit easier, yet offers a stunning view of the valley below. After kilometers of grueling climb, it's a bit like entering paradise.

An ideal spot to see the large Avigliana lake: a convenient stop, it offers spectacular views. You couldn't ask for more.

I only tackled the Avigliana side, finding it a beautiful climb, easy in the first section, slightly more challenging in the section after the descent (but never prohibitive). Highly recommended for autumn, when you can enjoy the splendid colors of the forest that frames the climb. A detour to the Sacra di San Michele, a charming abbey rich in history, is highly recommended.
