A beautiful replica of a historic boat

The artwork of canal herring, which move freely in the wind and thus appear to float through the air, is intended to commemorate the former importance of the Stecknitz River for Lübeck. Salt was transported along it from the Lüneburg graduation towers to Lübeck, where the herring were preserved.

FeRo had really terrible weather conditions and still made a recommendation. And rightly so! I was there in September 2024 and had fantastic and sunny early autumn weather - pure enjoyment. After the restaurant, turn right, continue a little further through the quieter part of Sandesneben and then into the green. I find this part particularly beautiful because you pass Sandesneben but on a very quiet side road. This tricycle can be ridden on a racing bike as well as on a gravel bike or mountain bike.
