Passo della Moriana Ovest, is located at 2,500 m above sea level, and communicates with the Anzasca Valley through the Val Moriana. A little-frequented destination but of undoubted beauty due to the still wild environments it offers. The descent/ascent from the Macugnana side is not recommended because the paths have almost disappeared.

The Alpe Baranca refuge is located in the green Baranca valley at 1600 m. Its position makes it an excellent stopping and overnight point on the GTA path and on the "Via Alpina" itinerary.
