Perched on one of the most evocative panoramas of Lake Maggiore, the smallest of the sacred mountains of Piedmont offers a breathtaking view of the Lombard pre-Alps. Among chestnut woods and an ancient archaeological path, there are the sanctuary, three chapels dedicated to the Incoronata, to San Giovanni Battista and to Abraham, and the eighteenth-century portico of the Via Crucis. The unique atmosphere, the mild climate and the beauty of the lake make it an enchanting and fascinating destination.

Really impressive. The path of the crucifixion is very elaborately designed. Up here there is also a restaurant with a great outdoor area and some hiking trails. Unfortunately we didn't get a view of the lake because everything disappeared in a murky soup.

A wonderful place to explore, live and relive. I come here often. A place that allows you to Listen to yourself and Listen to what Nature tells us. Recommended

A few meters from the center of the town of Premeno, there is the church of San Salvatore with its incredible panoramic terrace. The little church is ancient, dating back to around 1600, and immersed in an almost surreal quiet. Allowing yourself to be embraced by the lush nature, just ahead of the church, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore and, on the clearest days, it is possible to see Milan in the distance.

Overlooking one of the most evocative panoramas of Lake Maggiore, with a wide view of the Lombard Pre-Alps, the smallest of the Piedmontese Sacri Monti includes three chapels dedicated to the Incoronata, to Saint John the Baptist and to Abraham, the sanctuary and the eighteenth-century portico of the Via Crucis . The fulcrum of the complex is the Sanctuary of the Trinity, built between the end of the sixteenth century and 1617 by expanding an ancient medieval place of worship, a site considered sacred and miraculous even before the creation of the Mount. The three chapels followed, roughly between 1647 and the early years of the eighteenth century. The short but challenging climb to reach it is worth tackling.
