From the Domsee it is a steep climb up to here, but it is worth it and then it goes downhill again. 😉

During the GDR era, we used the Lübeck-Schlutup border crossing to Selmsdorf many times to visit our relatives who lived along the Baltic coast. I remember the oppressive atmosphere and the pounding heart when you drove down this road and were about to be checked by the GDR border guards.
