Grazzano Badoglio, a small town in the Monferrato area of Asti, has Roman origins linked to the legionary Gratius. The village developed around the Benedictine Abbey of San Salvatore, founded in 961 by the Marquis Aleramo, who is buried here. In 1939, the name was changed from Grazzano Monferrato to Grazzano Badoglio to honor the general and politician Pietro Badoglio, born here in 1871.

Vignale Monferrato (AL) is a historic village of Roman origin, developed in the Middle Ages as a fiefdom of the Aleramici and Paleologi families.

The Lenti Band was a partisan brigade formed after September 8, 1943, around Agostino Lenti, a former Alpine officer, and Mario Manassero, a soldier in the Royal Army. They quickly became a point of reference and a rallying point for a dozen young men, draft evaders, from Camagna Monferrato. By the summer of 1944, the group had established links with other rebel groups developing in the area, eventually joining the Matteotti Brigades active in the area.

Fubine Monferrato, in the province of Alessandria, has ancient origins dating back to the 4th-5th century AD, with the castle first officially documented in 1041 as a property of the Bishop-Count of Asti. During the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, it was sacked and destroyed, passing under various lords. It is renowned for its infernot, ancient underground cellars, and the historic residence of the Bricherasio counts.
