The statue of this saint is located on the dirt road to the Pianetto refuge. It's easier to see if you're going uphill, but if you're going downhill, you have to look around to see it. Her name is actually Santa Esuberanza, not Esperanza.

This Biella refuge is easily reached in a couple of hours on foot, via a dirt road. There's a nice picnic area nearby, and it's open during the summer and on some weekends during the rest of the year. It's best to call to check if it's open before you set off.
