The Willanzheim Church was first documented in 741/42 in a deed of gift for the endowment of the newly founded Diocese of Würzburg. It became the seat of an original parish and the mother church of Tiefenstockheim and Obernbreit. On April 5, 1945, the church burned down due to the effects of the war. The magnificent Baroque furnishings were also lost. The church was rebuilt according to the original model and consecrated on November 14, 1948. The Stations of the Cross and the new side altars date from this period. They are dedicated to Mary and St. Joseph. The impressive altarpiece tells the legend of St. Martin. In 1953, the church was equipped with a Klais organ. The church underwent a thorough interior renovation in 2004. The sanctuary was redesigned with a new sacrificial altar, ambo, and cross in a round arch. The double cross depicts the figure of Christ with the gesture of the Risen Christ.
