Stunning view of a stunning village

A hamlet along the beautiful road that, running practically along the crest, connects (almost) Asti to (almost) Alba. From this point, there are stunning views of the surrounding hills.

A stunning village, perched in an even more stunning location. Seen from afar, it looks like The Name of the Rose. Once inside, not only is the village a gem, but the view is breathtaking. The little square in front of the church is beautiful, with a lovely outdoor café where you can relax and sip a refreshing drink. Whichever way you get there, you'll have to endure some steep climbs, but with patience and agile gears, it's worth the effort.

the equestrian monument is to Umberto I, the first King of Italy

"Historical" public garden in the northern part of the city, consisting of a "figure eight" of tree-lined avenues, which provide nice shade in the hot season, a gymnastics area, a play area, and a nice central lawn. It is located between the municipal sports field and the area of the Salera hotel. The fountain at the northernmost point is convenient. Nice place for a break - or to take the kids for a bike ride without fear, they can spend the day on those avenues! (At least, I spent my days there as a child...)

The most classic route to climb to Viatosto: from Salera over the highway overpass, and up to the little church. I wore out my wheels as a kid, and I still find it beautiful, with its ridge road and its views of the surrounding hills.
