The reference parish of Passo Serra

Orsara di Puglia is a town in the province of Foggia which is part of the mountain community of the Monti Dauni Meridionali. From here you can plan various interesting itineraries for a bicycle ride, both towards the nearby Campania and towards the Dauni Mountains.

The origin of the name of this place is debated. It seems to have been built near a cave where there was a small sanctuary dedicated to the Archangel Michael. Other interpretations refer to a cave dedicated to the goddess Minerva (Cripta Minervae).
