Going uphill must be very tough. There are ramps at 20%. Going downhill you have to be careful.

The final climb to the top of the pass in Buggiolo, over 4 serpentines, has a gradient of more than 20% - you have to pedal hard again here, but there aren't many meters of altitude left to overcome.

They are just a few kilometers but with terrible gradients, with peaks that, at least in the legs, seem to go well beyond the reported 18%. The asphalt is in excellent condition, but unfortunately the traffic is often quite intense (with the not unusual hitch of a car stopped with the clutch in smoke)
