The top of Terminio is beautiful

Terminio is a mountain in the Picentini mountains, in the Campanian Apennines, in the municipalities of Volturara Irpina and Serino, in the province of Avellino

The view from the Anticima del Terminio is truly spectacular. Then in spring/summer between the summit and the anticima there is a beautiful green meadow. To reach it: trekking clothing and sturdy shoes.

Grotta di San Michele can be found by walking up towards the Sanctuary of the Holy Savior

From the top of Mount Terminio, on the clearest days, it is possible to see Vesuvius, Mount Mai, Pizzo San Michele, Mount Partenio, the Lattari mountains, the Gulf of Salerno and the sea.

On the slopes of Mount Terminio, in the territory of Serino, there is the ancient sanctuary of the Santissimo Salvatore, entirely dug into the rock and adapted for liturgical and residential use for a small hermit community. The cave appears to have been excavated around the end of the 1300s by a Benedictine religious community that resided at the time in the Cerreto Abbey. Inside there are the statues of the SS Salvatore and San Michele Arcangelo
