It's a real pleasure to ride a bike here. The asphalt surface is incredibly smooth.

A quarry lake that invites you to swim and relax. Pfordter See, which is fed by groundwater, originated from a gravel pit and covers an area of approximately 11 hectares in the Fulda floodplain in the Pfordt district. The shore of Pfordter See is very steep in some places and flat in others. In the warmer months, the lake is popular for swimming. Even in dry summers, the water level remains almost constant.

With a height of 95m above ground, the Rombachtal Bridge - on the ICE line HANNOVER - WÜRZBURG - is not only an impressive structure but also the second highest railway bridge in Germany after the Müngsten Bridge.

You can spend the whole day here. Eat and drink in the restaurant, watch the golfers, linger by the lake, observe wildlife, and the children can play on the playgrounds.

The cycle path is simply beautiful and has a super smooth surface.

Swimming is possible here, which is available at only a few lakes in the area.
