エルレ川とナーエ川の合流点、中世の小さな町シュロイージンゲンの中心に、そびえ立つのが力強いベルトルズブルク城です。13世紀からヘンネベルク伯爵家の本拠地として使用され、テューリンゲンで最も古い居城です。15世紀と16世紀には、要塞化された城がルネサンス様式の近世初期の城に改築されました。今日、城内には自然史博物館があります。高さ40メートルの主塔からは、テューリンゲン森の南麓の絵のように美しい景色を眺めることができます。

Very impressive building!

The Bertholdsburg is definitely worth a look. There are stone dinosaurs much more to marvel at. All I can say is, make sure you check it out👍

Beautiful and relaxing cycle path.

Opportunity to rest and to get into the riverbed, as the bank slopes gently here and the stream is easy to walk on. If you want, you can cool off here when the weather is good. Unfortunately, the graffiti thing is true, you see things like that far too often... what a pity.

There is also a small covered seating area and an information board here. From here you can go towards Sommerberg, Steinige Bössel, the Teichbaude near Suhl and many other destinations. The surrounding area could be better maintained, but this is probably due to the felling work currently taking place.
