A beautiful little village where you can taste the famous Cesanese wine. A delicious slice of pizza at Vaporetto is also worth a try.

Much of the outward route follows the Aniene River, practically all the way to its source. Then it's a mountain route, up to Campo Staffi (Fr) at 1700 m.

The plateau is beautiful, but the buildings are much less so, often dilapidated, an example of the building outrage of the seventies.

the San Francesco Bridge connects the two banks of the Aniene river at the entrance to the city of Subiaco (RM). Entirely built in blocks of local stone called cardellino, it is a perfectly preserved humpback bridge on a single span with a guard tower on one side.

Going up from Capranica the road is very panoramic and easy to cycle on. The village is lively and very pretty.
