The town hall is at the highest point on the market square. It was built in 1593 in the Renaissance style and is the landmark of Schiltach. The town hall only received its distinctive stepped gable in 1905. The facade paintings were not created until 1942. The tourist information office is also located in the town hall.

We hiked with a larger group on the rafting trail through Schiltach along the Kinzig and enjoyed the information boards and exhibits from the raftsmen. The benches and canopy lounger were also well received.

For our large hiking group, it was a welcome highlight to turn the elevator embedded in the tree trunk upwards. And lo and behold, the Fürstenberg beer appeared at the bottom and everyone was happy. There is a box on the side for voluntary donations, which everyone was happy to take advantage of (a matter of honor).
