Fairly easy via ferratas, but in truly beautiful surroundings. The path behind the waterfall is particularly impressive.

Beautiful waterfalls; you can take a break at the base to admire the power of the water, or even walk around behind the first (highest) waterfall. For those wishing to try the equipped passage behind the waterfall, be careful: it's slippery! Gloves for grip on the support cable and suitable footwear are essential. To ascend the waterfall on the other side, there's a short via ferrata section; special equipment is required.

For me, as a waterfall fan, the entire route from the parking lot at the information center to the upper waterfall or beyond into the Tal di Fanes is one of the top highlights of the Dolomites. That's why I've already done this waterfall tour in Val di Fanes three times (2004, 2014 and 2016). A tour and two magnificent waterfalls that you can also go behind 😍 It should be noted, however, that if you climb via the viewing platform you get to the foot of the magnificent waterfall, but you also have to overcome a rocky step with a safety rope and sometimes with stairs to get to the top. This was never a problem for me, even without a via ferrata set. However, my wife and my friend turned around here and took the longer detour back and also chose the planned return route as the way out, so that we met again at the top of the waterfall at the crossing point. From there you can also use rope safety to get behind the lower waterfall. The path to the upper waterfall is again a dream, thanks to the creators of this path with bridges and rope protection!!! The upper waterfall is also indescribably beautiful and you can also get behind the waterfall veil in the upper area. Clearly visible in the pictures. The lower waterfall falls vertically in the lower area, the upper one falls more like a veil!!! In my opinion, the path to the metal stairs is only for people who are NOT AFRAID OF HEIGHTS.

Beautiful itinerary with many spectacular waterfalls. Some have been equipped with a metal cable and you can go inside.

Super impressive how deep it goes into the gorge. You have the opportunity to look in both directions.

This is part of a short 'Via ferrata' but the part under the waterfall can be completed relatively safely if it's not to slippery.
