Como's lakefront is perfect for a stroll amid history, villas, and nature. Along the way, besides the views of the hills reflected in the Lario with moored boats, there are historic villas and monuments that punctuate Como's history. The lakefront also features numerous benches where you can sit and admire this enchanting panorama.

Villa Raimondi Minoprio is a historic 18th-century noble residence in neoclassical style. It was originally conceived as a country residence and hunting lodge for the wealthy Raimondi family. Although the building dates back to the 18th century, its main façade features later additions, such as the tympanum and a loggia of honor. Today, the villa is the headquarters of the Minoprio Foundation, an institution dedicated to education and research in the fields of horticulture and the environment. The property is particularly renowned for its vast and valuable 17-acre Botanical Park, which houses a rich collection of over 300 trees and several greenhouses with exotic species.

The Montina Washhouse (or Municipal Washhouse) in Cucciago is an ancient public washhouse of historical interest. It is a well-preserved example of rural architecture from the past, once essential to community life and the domestic activities of women who came there to wash their clothes. Its structure is typically covered, with stone or concrete basins, and was once fed by a local spring.

Here you'll cycle through lush vegetation that changes color with the seasons, creating a truly evocative setting. The road is unpaved, but compact and wide, so you can pedal comfortably. You'll also encounter four hairpin bends with significant gradients for this area. This stretch is perfect for having fun!

Even though it is often crowded, with bicycles, pedestrians, scooters and runners, the choice to ride on the cycle path overlooking the lake is a winning one. In that stretch the provincial road is in fact always very busy and dangerous.

The Lura is the Italian Emscher. It too has been and is being renaturalized and transformed into a floodplain and park landscape.

At the end of the beach promenade there is "suddenly" a huge building: Villa Olmo. Imposing park with a panoramic view of Como. The bike has to be pushed.
