The monastery is a jewel of art, history and architecture overlooking the Sebino peat bogs. Starting from 1083 it began to carry out important territorial functions, the complex belonged to the Cluniac monks of the Cluny Abbey for around four centuries. Don't miss the beautiful Romanesque church full of frescoes, the Oratorio dei Disciplini (today known as the Sala dei Disciplini) from the Baroque era, the small internal cloister and an intricate succession of rooms that lead to the pigeon house. Currently the monastery is privately owned, except for the church which was donated to the parish of Provaglio. To visit it, consult the timetable on the website.

Passirano Castle, now privately owned and visible only externally, represents a jewel, symbol of the medieval era of Franciacorta. Built in 1100 for defensive purposes, Passirano Castle retains its massive walls, the ancient moat on one side and the two semicircular towers including the Torre della Specola, used as an astronomical observatory in the 18th century. Both Passirano and Paderno boast the presence of a medieval castle that is still well preserved, but the history of the first of these two locations is enriched by a curiosity. The monastery of San Pietro in Lamosa is located near Provaglio d'Iseo in the province of Brescia and stands above the Sebino peat bogs, from which its name derives. Originally built as a private church, the Provagliese monastery was donated to the Cluniac order in 1083. In 1535 it was acquired by the Canons Regular of San Salvatore, becoming the place designated for the parish functions of Provaglio. Purchased at the end of the eighteenth century by private individuals, the complex is today almost entirely in the possession of the Provaglia community, given that the church was recently returned to the parish, while part of the premises was taken by the municipality.
