Built in 1100 for defensive purposes, the Passirano Castle preserves its massive walls, the ancient moat on one side and the two semi-circular towers including the Torre della Specola, used as an astronomical observatory in the 18th century. The Ghibelline battlements, dating back to the 17th century, are visually striking. The entrance portal dates back to the 18th century.
Inside the Passirano Castle there is currently a winery producing Franciacorta wine.
