The cross, clearly visible also from the villages below, was placed in 1964 together with the small altar used during the Holy Mass which, as usual, is celebrated on May 1st of each year. The large cross was obtained from the old rails of the Stecav tramway, in operation from 1912 to 1955, which connected Como with Lecco, passing through the city center of Erba-Incino.
