We were treated terribly, even though we understood the busy day and the inadequate food planning. We called the day before to book and were told that it was not necessary and that the kitchen would be open until 3 pm, we went up with our 6 year old daughter and at 2 pm they told us that the kitchen was closing because they had run out of food. We were wrong not to bring anything from the valley, after 2 and a half hours of walking we had to continue for another two hours to Erve to stop for food. Even continuing to take out dishes, for those who had arrived first, we had asked for even just a slice of cheese or salami or milk for a 6 year old girl. Being local, I love starting from the city center going up the steps of the suggestive church of Our Lady of Lourdes, passing through the alleys of the town of Malnago. From the cable car car park, reach Costa where it is a must to make a short stop at the votive chapel, if only to catch your breath while admiring the wonderful panorama, and then go up to the Stoppani refuge where you can refresh and relax immersed in lush and uncontaminated nature . Definitely a nice compromise for those who want to escape from the chaos of the city and who don't even want to make too much effort....trying is believing!
