The church features an exposed brick façade consisting of a projecting central body and two lower sides, divided by two flat lateral pilasters and a thick horizontal molding. The large churchyard accentuates the volume of the church and defines its profile. The bell tower rises over 40 meters on the left side of the temple, crowned by a cella enclosed by four single-lancet windows with corner pinnacles; the whole structure culminates in a Byzantine-style dome topped with a copper globe supporting a 2.80-meter-high cross.

The monastery is dedicated to Bishop Lanfranco Beccari, born in Pavia in 1124 and buried here. The church houses in the choir a cenotaph* made at the end of the 15th century by Amadeo.

The church of San Lanfranco, dating back to the 12th century, contains the tomb of Bishop Lanfranco Beccari († 1189), built in 1498 by the sculptor and architect Giovanni Antonio Amadeo (1447-1552), born in Pavia. Inside the church is a fresco, one of the oldest in the city (thirteenth century), discovered in 1930 under the plaster, depicting the murder of Thomas Becket. The scene shows the bishop wearing the chasuble and being shot by five assassins.

In this place there are 2 fountains, one just at the end of the canal and the other under the monument.

Bereguardo is always a nice village to visit, I recommend going to see the pontoon bridge before it is closed for works

Route practicable with gravel. Who likes a bit of adventure. Pay attention to the path, in some sections at the edge of the "precipice" towards the river ;).
