The Tänzelfest Fountain is a monument in the heart of Kaufbeuren's old town, dedicated to the traditional Tänzelfest, one of Bavaria's oldest children's festivals. The fountain is particularly significant during the fifth season in July, before the summer holidays, when the city is filled with festive cheer.

While you're here, be sure to visit the Five-Knob Tower and St. Blasius Church (ring the bell at the house opposite to visit). For quiet contemplation, the Crescentia Sisters' monastery garden lies between them. (The garden is closed during the winter months.)

There's a beautiful view here and it's a great place to relax.

The church is currently under construction, but access to the image of the Virgin Mary is free - busy on market day 🙏
