Very nicely located and well-kept picnic area with several tables and a hammock. The view is fantastic, as you have the sea in front of your nose and you can also marvel at a beautiful trabucco (a stilt house set up for fishing).

We boarded the bikes on the train (with the baby in tow, we saved time and the dangers of the state road between the forum of francavilla and ortona), we got off at the station in ortona and from there only the cycle path up to fossacesia! Here the Adriatic Cycle Route runs directly by the sea over a bridge and through a tunnel. The colors are just gorgeous! In general, I recommend bringing enough sun protection with you when you are on this bike path.
