Large natural cave in the upper part of the Vajo, reachable via winding and impervious paths. There is graffiti (see photo) but I think it is recent, someone's prank.

Mezzane di Sotto is a nucleus that is located at the bottom of the valley typical of these areas of the Veneto where the forests appear in the background and as it rises in the surrounding hilly areas, the cultivated fields appear. In the center of Mezzane di Sotto is the Piazza IV Novembre where its church is located.

From here you can admire the town of Montorio from above, but the view can get lost further and reach Verona. I think it's spectacular in the evening.

Built between 1885 and 1889 to defend the borders with the Austro-Hungarian Empire, on 13 September 1943 it blew up, causing 37 victims, mainly women, the elderly and children, because the men were in the army or engaged in agricultural work. The explosion was triggered by the sacking of the fort which had been left unguarded by the military garrison.
