From the Sanctuary, the road winds along the hills, alternating ups and downs that are never challenging and offering spectacular views. The only drawback is the lack of water and the heat that can become annoying in the height of summer.

Visible from afar, this shrine dominates a suggestive landscape of vineyards and rolling hills, a crossing point between the Alta Langa and the most famous Langa, that of the vineyards. The climb from Bastia Mondovì is gradual and never extreme, the landscape that gradually widens then repays the efforts. Bring water supplies because there is none to be found, furthermore the exposure of the road is almost all to the South. The visit to the shrine repays the small detour necessary to reach it.

This climb begins with the crossing of the Rea stream and ends near the town of Murazzano, after passing that of Lovera. It is a long climb (about 6.7 km), but with easy gradients (about 5.5% average). It is dedicated to Jacques Anquetil, French champion who won five Tours de France.
