The climb to Colle del Melogno from Finale is one of the classics that lead from the Ligurian coast towards the hinterland. It measures about 15 kilometers, for a difference in altitude of 1000 meters. The slope is constant and pedalable, and the route winds first with glimpses of the sea, and then enters the suggestive Faggeta del Melogno.

Colle del Melogno is a mountain pass in the province of Savona in Italy. Located on the main chain of the Alps, it connects Ceva and Calizzano with Magliolo and Finale Ligure on the Ligurian Sea coast. The fortifications Forte Centrale were built between 1883-1895 and mainly served to protect against the French. Also a very popular pass for cyclists of all kinds.
