Calizzano is a village in the province of Savona, in the Ligurian hinterland, known for its wooded landscape and tranquility. It is an ideal destination for lovers of outdoor activities such as hiking and mountain biking, and for mushroom and chestnut picking. The town is renowned for its mineral waters and springs considered beneficial, such as the "Cruvoyra." Its history is ancient, with origins dating back to the Paleolithic, and a past linked to the Del Carretto family. An almost completely unspectacular pass. Virtually no view. Creepy abandoned ruin just below the summit on the south side. The inn (Belvedere) seems to have been closed for as long as the Belvedere on the Furka Pass. ;-)
