The ancient bridge of Andora, known as the "Ponte Romano", has medieval origins in its current appearance. Consisting of ten arches, it connected the route coming from the Clavesana Castle and Colla Micheri to the Chiappa Pass. Some characteristics, such as the shape of the base of the pillars, suggest a first construction in Roman times with subsequent alterations: it is uncertain whether the Via Julia Augusta crossed the Merula stream here or near San Lazzaro.
