ライツヴァインのソ連兵士墓地は、第二次世界大戦後、ライツヴァイン城の隣にあったかつての公園敷地に設けられました。地元住民の協力により、赤軍の戦死者の中で名前が判明している全ての遺体がこの集団墓地に改葬されました。墓地には約3000人の戦死者が埋葬されています。しかし、そのうち名前が判明し墓石に記されているのは一部の遺体のみです。

The Soviet Memorial in Manschnow stands not far from the village church on the village green and is a burial site with collective graves for 1,203 fallen soldiers and officers of the Red Army. Unfortunately, very little information is available about this memorial.

Another good shelter in this area - there are a few here, and that's good. There's an interesting information board from the National Park about the drainage of the Warta River. And the views of the Masovian Canal are also quite nice.

There is a shelter with an interesting and unusual (at least for me) roof. There is also a parking space next to it, so you can start your hike through the wetlands of the North Polder from here. There is also an information board about the lock.

We crossed the river dry. Things can get tight when the water is high.

There was a ferry to Poland at this location until 1945.

Beautiful nature with a view of the Oder.

The route was no longer passable at this point on 10.09.24, but can be bypassed slightly to the southwest through a tunnel.
