Lush nature, especially in late spring

Sasso overlooks the valley carved out by the Fosso del Vignaio surrounded by a rugged and evocative landscape, at the bottom of the ravine, a small lake of an intense blue-green color peeps out, created by the damming of a landslide on the precipice below. The village develops on a ridge close to the Topino Valley so its shape is rather elongated where the oldest nucleus is in the lower part. It was almost completely restored after the 1997 earthquake and today it appears in good condition to the eyes of the visitor. At the beginning of the village stands the small church of Sant'Antonio da Padova also recently renovated.

The small village stands close to the Poggio castle, whose tower dating back to the year 1000, still appears to be in excellent condition.
