The 18 m high observation tower with 78 steps was built in 1864 on the 515 m high Hummelsberg. The view extends over the Saale valley, the Saale-Ilm plateau to the Franconian Forest and the Thuringian Forest, and in clear weather to the Brocken. Opening times from April to October: Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
