trail not mapped on koomot branches off into the woods and then descends into the valley...very suggestive, does not present great difficulties...the surface of the path is stable and earthy except for a few stretches..highly recommended

Massa Martana is a medieval village in the heart of the Martani Mountains and surrounded by luxuriant woods. The municipal area is crossed by the ancient Via Flaminia and is rich in finds from the Roman era and churches.

Santa Maria in Pantano is a Romanesque church located near Massa Martana, along the Via Flaminia. It is one of the oldest and most interesting churches in Umbria, built between the 7th and 8th centuries on top of a pre-existing Roman building.

Post-excursion stop .. cake with sausage is recommended!

In the middle of the mountain is a rifugio with a wide view of the valley. Burning open fireplace, set tables, rustic atmosphere. There was only one menu and that was sensational. Starter, 2 different first courses and the main course. Meat and bread were prepared right on the fireplace. To round it off, there was tiramisu or homemade cheesecake. At the end we were given a bottle of grappa for self-service.
