Celano is a charming comune located in the province of L'Aquila, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. With a rich history dating back to Roman times, Celano is surrounded by breathtaking views thanks to its position in the hills of the Abruzzo Apennines. Val d'Arano is the result of the erosion of an ancient lake formed by the river La Foce, which has also carved out the suggestive Celano-Aielli Gorges. It is crossed by a 5 km loop trail that offers breathtaking views of the canyon and the mountain.

The village of Ovindoli stands at 1375 m asl in the presence of Mount Magnola. It is located within the Sirente-Velino Regional Natural Park, in the so-called "Altopiano delle Rocche". In addition to the naturalistic beauties, it is also worth mentioning its ancient castle-enclosure dating back to an era between the 12th and 14th centuries.
