Celano is a charming comune located in the province of L'Aquila, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. With a rich history dating back to Roman times, Celano is surrounded by breathtaking views thanks to its position in the hills of the Abruzzo Apennines. Rocca di Mezzo is a town in the Sirente-Velino Regional Park, a tourist resort both in summer and winter, thanks to the proximity of the ski resorts of Campo Felice and Ovindoli and the possibilities for hiking, trekking and cycling.

Unpaved path that connects the villages of the Altopiano delle Rocche, between Ovindoli, Rovere and Rocca di Mezzo. It winds through the mountains of the Sirente-Velino Park and is perfect for walking, cycling and cross-country skiing in winter.

Val d'Arano is the result of the erosion of an ancient lake formed by the river La Foce, which has also carved out the suggestive Celano-Aielli Gorges. It is crossed by a 5 km loop trail that offers breathtaking views of the canyon and the mountain.

The village of Ovindoli stands at 1375 m asl in the presence of Mount Magnola. It is located within the Sirente-Velino Regional Natural Park, in the so-called "Altopiano delle Rocche". In addition to the naturalistic beauties, it is also worth mentioning its ancient castle-enclosure dating back to an era between the 12th and 14th centuries.
