The Oppenwehe post mill (Mill Route No. 24), first mentioned in 1705 as the manor mill of the Hüffe manor, is one of the oldest of its kind. It was sold and dismantled there in 1868 and shortly thereafter rebuilt in Oppenwehe, where it began operations in 1873. Wind power was discontinued in 1943 following storm damage, followed by motor operation for a few more years. From 1989 to 1992, the dilapidated mill was completely renovated and restored to its original condition (as it was before 1943) as a wind-powered, fully functional mill. Since then, it has shone in its former glory and can be visited from the inside several times a year on milling and baking days. This is always a small folk festival in Oppenwehe.

The Destel windmill was built at the beginning of the 19th century. It's an octagonal, shingled, half-timbered building with a rubble stone basement. The linden trees surrounding the mill are particularly notable.
