Great area for hiking

A historical monument is the World War II tank barrier at Grölisbach. Starting in 1939, these barriers were built along a total of 630 kilometers of the West Wall. Due to their shape, they are also known as the Dragon's Teeth or the Humped Line. What was once a military defense line has now become a valuable habitat for flora and fauna.

There's also a sign every 500m. If you remember where you started, you'll know how far you've traveled without any records, etc.

A beautifully executed engineering structure.

A long cycle path that actually runs from Luxembourg to Rothe-Erde. For example, you can easily get to Brand, Walheim, etc. The viaducts in Aachen (Iternberg and Brand) are also very beautiful and a real treat. However, the cycle path is only 2 meters wide until it widens in Brand. However, on holidays or weekends and when the weather is nice, it gets very busy. Unfortunately, on many bends, you can't see oncoming traffic, which could make overtaking dangerous. In some places, the tracks also run alongside the cycle path. But the Vennbahn has far fewer potholes than other paths.
