The Mercadante Forest is a protected wooded area that extends for 1,300 hectares between the municipalities of Cassano delle Murge and Altamura. It was born in 1928 from a reforestation project after a flood, and hosts different species of trees, such as oaks, cedars and cypresses. It is the ideal place to cool off among the trees on hot summer days and take a break in one of the areas equipped with picnic tables.

Located in the heart of the Mercadante Forest in Cassano delle Murge, the structure is used in concession for days of spirituality, retreats and self-managed school camps.

One of the few, if not the only, areas served for refreshments in the forest area where you can refresh yourself or take a break before embarking on the return road.

Protected natural area located in the Alta Murgia National Park. It offers visitors an evocative landscape rich in vegetation, as well as trails and characteristic paths of the forest. In addition, there are several cycling areas in this area that can be traveled mainly by MTB and, not only, also by Gravel.
