A new observation point, extraordinary in size and significance, has enriched the evocative landscape of Cisternino. On Sunday, November 16, 2025, the Monte Pizzuto lookout welcomed the installation of a giant panoramic bench, part of the prestigious Big Bench Community Project (BBCP), offering a breathtaking view of the plain of monumental olive trees. The project, made possible thanks to the commitment of the Meraviglie di Puglia association, takes on an even deeper meaning: the bench was dedicated to the memory of Domenico Caroli, who would have celebrated his forty-second birthday on the day of its inauguration. Monte le Fergole is a hill located in the Cisternino area at an altitude of about 350 meters above sea level. It offers a panoramic view of the Valle d'Itria and the trulli and is a place of historical and archaeological interest because ceramic artefacts, tombs and a Byzantine capital have been found there which testify to the presence of ancient human settlements.

The centuries-old olive tree called "Grande Ciccio" is a monumental tree found near Cisternino along an excursion itinerary that connects the town to Masseria Termetrio. The olive tree is considered one of the symbols of the Valle d'Itria and of the peasant culture of this area, and the production of olive oil is one of the main agricultural activities in Puglia.

Very nice hike to the Wall viewpoint; a bit hard to find at times but manageable with satellite imagery!
