St. John's Church is the main church of Saalfeld in southeastern Thuringia. It is one of the most important church buildings in Thuringia. The largest hall church in the state, it stands on a hill overlooking the Saale River in Saalfeld's old town, very close to the market square. Its two 64-meter-high towers are visible from afar.
