Artificial lake in Aspromonte, a well-known hiking destination, near the town of Gambarie. There is a small grocery store on the lake side, and in the spring/summer period you can enjoy sandwiches with tasty local products.

Lake Menta, nestled in the heart of Aspromonte, is a corner of serenity surrounded by lush forests. Built in 1968, the Menta Dam is a grandiose hydraulic construction with the aim of definitively resolving the problems relating to the water supply of Reggio Calabria.

Gambarie, in the heart of the Aspromonte National Park at 1,310 m above sea level, is a charming mountain resort in Santo Stefano in Aspromonte, Reggio Calabria. Founded in the 1920s, it offers both summer and winter attractions. Hiking trails, ski slopes and breathtaking views from Etna to the Aeolian Islands.

It is a ghost town, uninhabited since the early 1900s following a terrible earthquake that forced the surviving inhabitants to migrate towards the coast.

The views are excellent given the hilly position of the municipality. Sant'Agata is in fact part of the Eastern Aspromonte mountain community.

Very interesting municipality especially at a naturalistic level. In fact, the administrative borders of San Luca include Lake Costantino and Pietra Cappa, one of the largest monoliths in Europe.

Pass located at 1400 m a.s.l. between Bagaladi and Gambarie. From here you can also go down dirt roads that are not very demanding.
