Artificial lake in Aspromonte, a well-known hiking destination, near the town of Gambarie. There is a small grocery store on the lake side, and in the spring/summer period you can enjoy sandwiches with tasty local products.

Road in the woods with almost entirely perfect asphalt, which leads to Montalto. It is also possible to take the crossroads for the Menta dam or for the Brigante path. Always gentle slopes.

Fully signposted forest road. Except for the really steep initial part (more for ebikes) and a short stretch that crosses a stream downhill, it is entirely pedalable by MTB and gravel. NB not recommended for those who don't like rougher gravel. Door to Garibaldi's mausoleum.

Lake Menta, nestled in the heart of Aspromonte, is a corner of serenity surrounded by lush forests. Built in 1968, the Menta Dam is a grandiose hydraulic construction with the aim of definitively resolving the problems relating to the water supply of Reggio Calabria.

Gambarie, in the heart of the Aspromonte National Park at 1,310 m above sea level, is a charming mountain resort in Santo Stefano in Aspromonte, Reggio Calabria. Founded in the 1920s, it offers both summer and winter attractions. Hiking trails, ski slopes and breathtaking views from Etna to the Aeolian Islands.
