As a convenient stop for all cyclists, the ÖAMTC bicycle service station offers readily available support. Open 24/7, it provides a selection of essential tools – including Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, and tire levers – making minor repairs easy on the spot. An integrated air pump and a vending machine for inner tubes ensure that even flat tires are no obstacle. For comfortable working, the bicycle can be secured in a special stand. Seating and a drinking water fountain complete the amenities, making the station ideal not only for maintenance work but also for a short break.

From the cycle path, there is an unobstructed view of Greifenstein Castle, which sits high above the river. While cycling along the water, the castle is clearly visible for much of the way and serves as a prominent landmark in the landscape. Greifenstein Castle is a medieval hilltop castle in Lower Austria. It was probably built in the 11th century and was first documented in 1135. Historically, it served both military functions as part of the Danube defenses and as a prison for the ecclesiastical court. In the 19th century, the complex was remodeled under Prince Johann I of Liechtenstein. Today, the castle is privately owned and not open to the public, but it can be easily seen from the Danube Cycle Path.

The menu features regional products, fresh strawberries (depending on the season), homemade spreads, pastries, and refreshing drinks. The shady beer garden is ideal for a short break or a relaxing stop after a bike ride. Thanks to its quiet location away from traffic, "Zur Erdbeere" is a pleasant place to unwind before continuing your journey on the Rote.
