Anyone who has booked an overnight stay here, whether by bike or on foot, should definitely check for rest days. Unfortunately, we overlooked this and, after 75 km against the wind, had to get back on our bikes and cycle over 4 km to the nearest restaurant. This wasn't so great, especially given the unstable weather. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.

This was never a Heidschnucke stable. Such structures are called bee fences in the Lüneburg Heath.
