In the surroundings of Parada de Sil there are several paths marked by old “carriozas” or traditional paths that run through beautiful “castiñeiros” (chestnut) forests, with centuries-old specimens, buildings and ethnographic remains linked to chestnut cultivation. The “souto” of chestnut trees is a living symbol of the rural world of the Galician interior. The itinerary is a thematic walk in the chestnut culture, an open-air museum among centuries-old specimens that serves to protect resources and maintain the cultural and environmental value of the rural environment.

A must-see stop to sample some good Galician products in a homely atmosphere.

Amandi is a sub-area of the Ribeira Sacra Denomination of Origin, located in Lugo, Galicia, known for producing some of the best wines in the region. Known as "Land of Wine", Amandi stands out for its vineyards on steep terraces that rise above the canyon of the Sil River, where mainly Mencía grapes are grown, which produce high-quality red wines. The terrain, the climatic conditions and the inclination of the slopes make viticulture in Amandi known as "heroic viticulture" due to the difficulty of cultivation and harvesting. The wines from this area are recognized for their mineral character, freshness and quality, being one of the most emblematic places of the Ribeira Sacra in the world of wine.

The Mirador de O Boqueiriño, in the Ribeira Sacra, is located on the slope of the Sil River canyon. It offers spectacular views of the terraced vineyards and the Sil canyon. Built from wood and Corten steel, it is designed to blend into the natural landscape. It is an ideal place to contemplate the unique landscapes of the region, known for their beauty and serenity.

These are two wooden walkways that go several meters into the canyon, providing us with spectacular views.
