Because of the pint, of course ;-) Very good food, and the dinner menu is always updated in the evening, depending on what's available in the kitchen. It's also easy to get here by ferry (to Malleig).

Officially the most remote pub in Britain, reachable only on foot (a 15.6-mile hike from Kinlough Horn) or by boat from Mallaig. Despite that it's a popular spot, often with impromptu live music, and there's a lovely beer garden in front right by Loch Nevis. The pub reopens after maintenance work on 1 July 2023.

Nice starting point for unique hikes in the Scottish wilderness on the Knoydart Peninsula. First class food in a quiet/remote atmosphere.
