Beautiful view of the Sempt river

First mentioned in a document dating back to around 800, the branch church of St. Martin is a primitive-looking plastered brick building from the second half of the 15th century. It houses a remarkable interior, including particularly well-preserved Gothic figures from around 1500. Storks have nested on the gable roof of the church tower for many years.

The "Beim Wagmüller" farm has existed since 1775. It originally belonged to the Ebersberg Monastery. The sawmill was decommissioned in 1914, and the flour mill in 1960.

This pedal boat is located right next to the Keckmühle and can be used to leisurely cruise along the gentle Schwillachbach.

Storks on the church tower

Very funny: now (June 14th) a stork chick is sitting in the nest... It still has grey feathers but is already as big as its parents.

St. Martin, Buch am Buchrain Buch am Buchrain is one of the oldest parishes in the district and, like the sister parishes in the parish association, belongs to the Erding deanery. The prerequisites for the founding of the parish of Buch am Buchrain go back to the year 776. Today's St. Martin's Church essentially consists of a late Gothic building from the time of office of Pastor Alban Auer, who died in 1485. Due repairs in 1760 led to a significant renovation of the church, which was carried out by Johan Baptist Lethner in the Rococo style and still characterizes the image of the parish church today. In terms of design, it is a hall building with a retracted choir closed on three sides, with the tower to the south with an articulated upper part and a profiled onion dome.
