Nice hike from Fehring to Eichkögel with wonderful views

The Anna Suppan Memorial Church, which was built in 1937, is a popular destination for pilgrims. For years, the beatification of 19-year-old Anna Suppan, who was murdered in 1910, has been demanded in Wörth near Gnas. Wayside shrines, crosses and the memorial chapel stand at the scenes.

The name alone indicates an airy place that enjoys the sun and offers a wonderful panoramic view of the landscape. The beautiful chapel dedicated to St. Mary is an expression of the appreciation people have for this special place.

The Way of the Cross, which was redesigned in 1998, is located on the old Kirchweg between Edelsbach and Wetzelsdorf. The fourteen stations lead from the Edelsbach parish church over a two-kilometer walk to the Dornhofer chapel. The contemporary Way of the Cross was designed by regional artists and children as well as mothers from Edelsbach and is therefore a special feature. It shows an exciting picture of the current interpretation of the Passion of Christ. Each station is designed differently. Both the expressiveness and the creative implementation are varied, of high artistic quality and give new views of the Way of the Cross. The path is signposted and with a Stations of the Cross guide, which is available in the church, it can be followed with a prayer service. Good footwear is recommended.
